CHAMBERSBURG, PA- Court officials say a Chambersburg man will serve no jail time after being charged in a 2011 crash that claimed the life of a Shippensburg woman.

Jeffrey Davies, 22, was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. He was sentenced to 72 months to be divided between wearing an electric monitoring device and probation.

Pennsylvania State Police say Davies was charged with homicide by vehicle and aggravated assault in connection to the January 4, 2011 crash that killed Kristi Myers, 18, of Shippensburg, Pa.

Police say the crash happened on Lincoln Way West near Sollenburger Road. Authorities say Myers was not wearing a seat belt and was sitting in the rear passenger seat.

Authorities say Davies was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his Mustang and crashed into a steel pole.

According to court online documents, Davies was found guilty of homicide by vehicle December 3, 2012.
