WHAG - Leaders from around the region address their concerns regarding the United States before the State of the Union address.

The White House says the President will have a jam packed speech spanning his plans for the growing economy to current budget battle in Congress, gun control, and the latest nuclear test in North Korea.

"We have a $16 trillion debt, our unemployment is too high, our economy is stagnant and I hope the President contrary to his inauguration speech will reach a hand across the aisle to work with solutions to meet these tough challenges," says Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va.

"The President is going I hope will again point out that Democrats and Republicans need to work together," says Senator Ben Cardin, D-Md. "These are American problems and we need to have responsible ways to come together, to bridge our differences on our budget, to invest in education, invest in job training."
