COLLEGE PARK, MD- Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide involving three University of Maryland students.

One of the students, Dayvon Maurice Green, allegedly opened fire on his two housemates in an off-campus residence, before turning the gun on himself.

Resident Chris Merz, says his step-son, 22-year-old Neal Oa, a junior studying economics, from Frederick, was injured in the incident.

Authorities say just after 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning Green set fire in the basement of the house.

Police say Oa and another housemate confronted Green, and as they tried to get away he shot at them, killing one and injuring Oa.

Other people were said to be living in the house, but were not home at the time.

Green then went to the back of the house and took his own life.

Police say Oa has been released from Prince George Hospital and is back home recovering from his injuries.

We'll have more information for you, as it becomes available.
