HAGERSTOWN, MD- Washington County commissioners gathered on Tuesday to deliver their state of the county presentation to local residents and business leaders.

They spoke about the accomplishments of the past year along with the goals for 2013.

County officials say some initiatives include working with more non-profit organizations, improving roads, and continuing to revitalize downtown Hagerstown. They also expect the new library in Hagerstown to be opened later this year.

"Specifically the infrastructure projects will provide an increased level of service, educational, environmental to our citizens of Washington County," says Greg Murray, County Administrator for Washington County. "The initiatives of the commissioners want to complete are ones that are very important to improving the way we live."

County officials are encouraging residents to voice their opinions for the upcoming year.
