WINTER STORM WARNING for Garrett County from 2pm Monday to 10am Tuesday for 6-10" of snow.

WINTER STORM WARNING for Western Allegany, Western Grant, Western Mineral Counties from 1pm Monday to 6am Tuesday for 4-8" of snow.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Eastern Allegany, Grant, Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy and Morgan Counties until 6am for 1"-2" of snow.






TODAY: Expect some sunshine this morning, but clouds will increase ahead of a clipper system. Snow will develop in Western Maryland and the Potomac highlands by 1pm this afternoon. Light snow will spread east for much of the region this evening. Highs in the low to mid 30s, but will feel a bit colder with a wind up to 15 mph at times.

TONIGHT:  Light snow will end by 2am. A coating to 2" of snow is expected for much of the region. An isolated 3" total cannot be ruled out. 6-10" is expected for Garrett County by Tuesday morning. 4-8" of snow will fall in Western Allegany, Grant and Mineral Counties by Tuesday morning. Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of a sprinkle or flurry, especially late in the afternoon. Highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. Some light snow will continue overnight with a coating possible.

WEDNESDAY: Weak high pressure moves in with highs in the upper 30s to around 40.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny and milder with highs in the low 40s.

FRIDAY: A larger system moves in with mostly cloudy skies. It will be milder so right now expect more rain than snow, but snow could mix in at times. We will keep tracking it for you over the next few days. High: 42.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and seasonable. High: Low 40s.

SUNDAY: Partly cloudy and mild. High: Upper 40s.
