CHAMBERSBURG, PA- The 11th annual Ice Fest began Thursday; an exciting moment the community anticipates each January.

The event is the second largest annual Ice Fest in Pennsylvania.

Trucks unloaded big blocks of ice to be turned into works of art. The theme of this year's Ice Fest was 'Past, Present, and Future'

Crowds got to watch ice carvers create their sculptures up until 8 p.m.

A 40 foot ice slide is expected to be open next to Gartenburg Jewelry that will be available to guests throughout the rest of the weekend.

Crews from DiMartino ice will continue to use their torches and chainsaws to 'wow' residents with different sculptures throughout the night.
