The trio from Linganore High School created a logo that will be used by the FBI Baltimore's Cyber Task Force.
"I really just kind of sat there in shock and thought, 'The FBI really wants this, and it's something we did.' We're not even out of high school yet," Kate Russo says.
The students, who are all seniors, designed the prototype in graphic design class. They then refined the image. It features an eagle holding the Maryland and Delaware state flags.
"It was a design that we came up with. It was all original, and they actually liked it. It's professional, and it's actually going to be a logo design. It's really cool," Helen Snell says.
The whole process took them about two months.
"I think it definitely promotes us both as a county and just as a high school in general," Russo says.
The group can't believe they've been selected for the honor at such a young age.
"I think it's pretty crazy that we can have our logo representing the FBI, and it came out of Linganore with students that are my friends. It's a good way to end the senior year," Alex McClaslin says.
The design will be used on letterhead, uniforms and on ceremonial items.
