FREDERICK, MD - The first 100 Orioles fans received free FanFest tickets at the William Talley Recreation Center where players signed autographs for fans.

10-year-old Matthew Rogers says, "I'm not like one of those people who paints their bellies but I'm a huge fan."

Rogers is here with his dad who surprised him with this stop on the way home.

"He's a big baseball fan, O's fan in general," says David Rogers, Matthew's father. "He wanted to come out and see the pitchers participate in the thing, seemed like a good event, family-oriented obviously thought he would like it."

Matthew says he's a baseball player himself and hopes to make it to the big leagues one day like Orioles pitcher Steve Johnson.

"You can tell they look up to you and it's nice," says Johnson. "I mean you were that kid at one point. You know how they're feeling and you want to set a good example when you get to see them here and communicate with them."

David says, "You know it was important for him to come out and you know see some of his heroes."

Matthew was just one of many little fans in the crowd who got to hit home runs and have fun with other kids their age.

Frederick is just one of five stops the Orioles are making around Maryland.

"It was awesome to get their autograph and stuff," says Matthew.

An autograph that will surely make a lasting mark on the O's biggest fan.
