BALTIMORE, MD - Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley is pushing for tougher measures to reduce gun violence.
The Democratic Governor outlined his proposal during a gun control summit Monday morning at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
O'Malley's plans come one week after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo released his own gun control legislation.
"Neither Mayor Bloomberg nor any of us in Maryland are seeking to ban all guns. At the same time, we know that it makes absolutely no sense when you look at the level of carnage on our streets from guns to blame every factor but guns," says Governor, Martin O'Malley.
