Senator Rockefeller Will Not Run Again For U.S. Senate in 2014

CHARLESTON, WEST VIRGINIA - He came to the Mountain State as a vista volunteer in the 60's and stayed to become part of West Virginia politics.
U.S. Senator Jay Rockefeller says he will not run for re-election next year.
Rockefeller, a great-grandson of oil tycoon, John D. Rockefeller, is in his fifth term in office.
The Senator has often joked that he wasn't cut out to make it in the corporate world, but found public service to be rewarding.
"I hope that each of you and the state that i love can understand that this is an entirely personal decision. It is not a political decision and it has not been easy," says Rockefeller.
So far Republican Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito has been the only candidate to express interest in filling Rockefeller's seat.
