KEARNEYSVILLE, WV - The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department is investigating after two people robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon.

It happened just before 4 p.m. at the Bank of Charles Town on the 54 hundred block of Charles Town Road.

No weapons were involved. Police say say Darius Cook got away with an undisclosed amount of money, and as he was running away the die placed on the money exploded.

Cook then jumped into a white Chrysler driven by Candace Leber.

Soon after, police found the car with the two suspects on Route 9 on Wipshire Road and took the two into custody.

Both suspects are being held at the Eastern Regional Jail.
