WHAG - Every Wednesday, WHAG and Soldier Fit honor a service member or veteran in our community. This week's Hometown Hero is Brigadier General Clark LeMasters, Jr.

General LeMasters was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1982 from the ROTC program at Marion Military Institute. He also attended Frostburg State University, and has a masters degree from the Army War College.

During his career, he has served overseas in Germany, Iraq, and Qatar during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

General LeMasters has been honored with several awards and decorations including the Legion of Merit, a Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and the Army Achievement Medal.
