Hometown Hero: Veteran Jack Mellott

in our community. This week's Hometown Hero is Jack Mellott.
Jack is from Fort Loudon, Pennsylvania, and is a WWII Veteran. Jack was in the Navy serving on the USS Hornet CV-12.
Jack engaged the Japanese Fleet two or three times in his career.
During the war, he was in the Philippines, Guam, Saipan, Okinawa, Formosa, Saigon, Hong Kong, Iwo Jima, New Guinea, and Japan.
Jack was nominated by Bob and Ronda Gehr, who say they appreciate all he did for our country, and they want to take the time to tell Jack, thank you.
