Officials say it was all part of the Museums by Candlelight event. They say several museums decorated their buildings with different themes for the holidays.
"All of the museums in Frederick County are open for free during Museums by Candlelight, and most of them would do something holiday related," says Kristen Butler, at the Historical Society of Frederick County.
The Museum of Frederick County History had different rooms to represent a different holiday. Some rooms included Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa.
They say for the past few years they've done different things at the event. This year people were in each room to talk about the different religions and how folks celebrate.
"This year we're going to talk about holidays that are celebrated in the wintertime by different cultural groups in Frederick County," says Butler.
This is a traditional event that happens at 22 historic sites and museums around Frederick County.
