MARTINSBURG - It was a night to honor service members in our area.

The Patriots Path Foundation held a dinner for soldiers and their families in the Martinsburg area.

Held at the Historic McFarland House, Military Family Nights was organized to honor the men, women and families of the West Virginia Army and Air National Guard.

Before dinner, kids got a chance to visit with Santa Claus, who gave them each a gift.

The Foundation helps to house veterans who suffer from post traumatic stress disorder and other issues.

It also helps them get back on their feet after serving by teaching them skills like financial management.

The evening was free to all active and retired National Guard members and their families.
