Comic Book Artist Visits Middle School

MERCERSBURG,PA- Franklin County middle school students had a chance to learn the art of drawing comics.
Comic creator and artist Billy Tucci came to James Buchanan Middle School in Mercersburg and showed students how to draw superheroes like Superman and Batman.

In 1994, Tucci started Crusade Comics. He came up with the comic "Shi", which has become a world-wide phenomenon. He also spoke to the students about following their dreams.
"I can hopefully push them to do what they want really want to do in life, to pursue their dreams, and you know enjoy life,"says Billy Tucci, a comic book creator."
To this day, Tucci's has sold more than 4 million copies of Shi, grossing more than $25 million in sales.
