Tony Mendez signed autographs for fans Friday who filled The Arts Council Gallery in downtown Hagerstown.
"Argo" is about a Knoxville man who was told to keep quiet about his work as a former CIA officer.
The gallery was filled with many of his fans who either wanted to meet him, buy his autographed book, or all of the above. Mendez expressed how proud he was and signed books for fans who were excited to meet the star in person.
The line for book signing was long, but fans didn't seem to mind the wait.
"We have a happy group here visiting us on Washington Street. They seem to be into what we're doing. It's the best part of all worlds," says Mendez.
The book signing was sponsored by the city of Hagerstown.
