HAGERSTOWN, MD - The kitchen was hot and ready at LJ's & the Kat Lounge for a large dinner party of young adults from the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County

"I was like shocked like first we're going to this restaurant in a limousine," says 17-year-old Daquaina Cook. "I was like oh my gosh, I've never been to a restaurant like this before."

"I had experience at a restaurant like this but never like a 5-course-dinner," says 13-year-old Tuiaisha Neblett.

Actually, make that 7-courses.  The restaurant treated the boys and girls to fine dining for the holidays.

The meal is free, but between these tasty dishes is a lesson.

"We've also incorporated a little bit of an etiquette class," says Alexander Tiches, the owner of LJ's & the Kat Lounge.

Call it Etiquette 101.  The lessons range from which utensils to use to proper table manners.

"If they're not in a situation that they're not uncomfortable with, that even with good manners you can get through any tough situation," says Tiches.

Tiches says being polite can and will open many doors whether it be in your personal relationship, job interview or work environment.

"It's about the youth and giving them something back to them and hopefully inspiring them to something greater."

EG Specialized Limo took their experience to another level by providing the boys and girls with a limo ride to the restaurant.
