Clear Spring Burglary Results in Temporary School Lockdown

CLEAR SPRING, MD - Clear Springs schools were on modified lock-down Monday as a precaution after police investigated a burglary nearby.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 11:48 a.m. on 151 Cumberland Street.

They say Ronald Elwood Maners, 20, of 41 S Martin Street, Clear Spring and Brandon James Maners, 18, of 907 Oak Street, Hagerstown, entered the laundry room area of the building.

Deputies say Brandon Maners was found in possession of a black BB Pistol with an orange tip. Upon further investigation, police say the pistol was found to be stolen.

Both Maners men are charged with one count burglary in the fourth degree, and one count trespassing. Brandon Maners is also being charged with one count of theft.
