New MTV Reality Program Sparks Controversy

WHAG - A new MTV reality program is catching the attention of residents and U.S. Senator Joe Manchin.
The show, Buck Wild, is set in southern West Virginia. According to MTV the program includes a wide range of teenagers; from the well-off to working class down in the holler.
West Virginia Joe Manchin says the program portrays the state in a bad way and promotes inaccurate stereotypes about the people of this state.
"Is this the way you want your town and your home state? Is this how you want your children to act?" says Manchin. "I just hope that someone has a shred of decency to say 'What are we promoting?' We are fighting to fix this this country to turn it over to the next generation."
Manchin is currently trying to have the show canceled.
