HAGERSTOWN, MD - Santa left his reindeer at home for the day and decided to go to the Valley Mall to take holiday pictures with our four-legged pals.

Julie Arsenault says this is the second year her two-and-half-year-old Golden Doodle, Bisbee, is striking a pose with Santa.

"I like to give it to family members," says Arsenault. "I have older kids and I don't have any kids at home anymore so I want to take my picture with him so I can give it to my kids."

Like Bisbee, dozens of paws lined up for a keep sake with the man in the red suit.

Some were a little camera shy, but all it took were a few moments to warm up to jolly old Saint Nick.

"We have our kids take pictures taken every year and we thought it'd be fun to do it with the pets," says Diahann Bryan who owns a Puggle, named Hubble, and a Collie Mix, Jasper.

While the camera lights went off, Santa made sure to learn the furry one's wish list.

Arsenault says Bisbee will be barking for some antlers to chew on.

"He's full of life and he just has a lot of energy and he just brings a lot of joy to our family," says Arsenault.

Joy, the topic of the season, captured through picture perfect moments like this one with our pets.

Santa will be available to take pictures with your pets every Monday in front of Bon-Ton inside the Valley Mall until December 17th.

How sad - there were Clear Spring Middle School band and chorus students performing in front of JCP this evening too, but nothing was reported. The kids did a fabulous job!
