Berkeley County Humane Society Receives Free Business

MARTINSBURG, WV - It's not too often an organization receives a free business from someone else.
Officials say that's exactly what's happening in Martinsburg. The Berkeley County Humane Society was handed the Day Javu Gently Used Clothing and Accessories store absolutely free.
Day Javu sells women's clothing, shoes and all sorts of jewelry. Workers say the profits will go towards the Berkeley County Humane Society's spay and neuter clinic.
"We were kind of shocked at first, because we didn't know how to take it or anything," says Shari Persad of Berkeley County Humane Society. "We have known Dana Knowles the previous owner for quite sometime and we know Dana was serious in what she did."
The Berkeley County Humane Society officially takes over the business December 1st.
