"East Coast Rapist" Pleads Guilty To Second Virginia Attack

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA
- One day after pleading guilty to rape charges in Leesburg, the man deemed
by authorities as the "East Coast Rapist" pleaded guilty to rape and
abduction charges in Prince William
County.
Aaron Thomas pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and three counts of abduction
for a Halloween 2009 attack on three teenage trick-or-treaters. Thomas forced
the girls into the woods and sexually assaulted them for over a period of
hours.
Thomas pleaded guilty on Thursday to rape charges for an attack in 2001 in
Leesburg. Investigators say DNA links him to at least 17 attacks in four states
including Maryland and Virginia.
His involvement in the Leesburg case and in Prince
William County
carry multiple life sentences.
Thomas spent some of his childhood in Berryville and his mother still lives in Clarke
County, Virginia.
