UPDATE: Winchester Woman Arrested in Murder Case

WINCHESTER, VA - A Winchester woman facing second-degree murder and distribution of heroin charges was arrested Wednesday by Winchester police.
Kimberly Mercer, 49, is charged in the death of Richard Kuit, 50, at America's Best Value Inn at 1347 Berryville Avenue in Winchester. The Winchester Police Department says Mercer turned herself in.
Kuit was found dead by officers in July. An investigation found Kuit died from heroin overdose, and Mercer supplied him with the heroin that led to his death.
A Winchester grand jury Tuesday indicted Mercer on charges of second-degree murder and distribution of heroin.
