Bill Sellers of Chambersburg is collecting coats as part of the Coats for Kids campaign. He's hoping to collect about 1,500 coats, then donate them to the local Salvation Army. The clothing items then will be distributed to needy families in the area. As of now, he has about 800 coats and says a lot of youngsters need your help so they can stay warm this winter.
"I think the people who donate the coats get a warm feeling," says Bill Sellers of Coats for Kids. "It's not about us or the funeral home. It's about the people who contribute to this cause, they are the ones we have to thank."
Over the past 18 years Sellers has collected and donated over 35,000 coats. Sellers says you can drop off the coats at the William Sellers Funeral Home and can even leave them by the front door during off-hours.
