WASHINGTON COUNTY, MD- It was a quick 4-0 vote to reject having the Washington County Senior Center built at Hagerstown Community College.

The site at HCC would have cost nearly $6 million. County officials are hoping to work with the city of Hagerstown on renovating an existing building to bring down the cost.

"I'm disappointed and I think we all are," says  Vance Creech, who's upset with the final vote. "It should've been pursued, a lot of planning has already been put into it and I think it could've been done."

It's still unknown if the senior center project is something the city would be interested in getting involved with.
