State of Emergency Declared for Maryland and Virginia in Advance of Sandy

Governor Martin O' Malley (Maryland) and Governor Bob McDonnell (Virginia) have both signed executive orders declaring a State of Emergency for their respective states.
These executive orders for a faster response once Sandy makes landfall early next week, even though her effects will be felt well in advance of the eye actually making landfall.
