It seems to be a popular option for West Virginians.
As soon as the doors opened a crowd of enthusiastic voters lined up at the Berkeley County Courthouse to cast their votes.
"It means a lot. It's so much better because when we waited we hardly had a chance to vote last year. So right now is an awesome time for us," says early voter Mary Rosario.
Temporary parking was reserved for voters in front of the courthouse.
"Doors opened at 8:30 and voters lined up to vote early," says Bonnie Woodfall of the Berkeley County Courthouse.
The early voting period includes two Saturdays, October 27th and November 3rd.
There will be no early voting on Sunday, October 28th.
Early voting in Maryland runs from October 27th to November 1st.
There is no early voting in Pennsylvania and Virginia.
