Three Car Accident Slows Traffic on Cearfoss Pike

By: Bob Stone
Updated: October 22, 2012
HAGERSTOWN, MD - A three-car accident backed up traffic on Cearfoss Pike near Route 63, west of Hagerstown around 1 p.m. Monday.

A man was traveling south through a roundabout and apparently blacked out and passed through the center, hitting two other cars.

According to a witness, the driver was swerving beforehand, but he was losing consciousness from low blood sugar, not alcohol.

One woman was taken to the hospital but no one was seriously injured. All lanes are back open and running smoothly.

Comments

That southbound approach looks like it could use a little more deflection to slow entering vehicles.
