FREDERICK COUNTY, MD - A Frederick man is facing numerous charges after police say he raped a woman this past weekend.

It happened in the 100-block of East South Street in Frederick just before 10 p.m. on Sunday. Police say Montrelle Bowie raped the woman as she was getting out of her car. He then forced her into his car and drove her to a nearby street where she jumped out.

Around noon on Monday police were able to track Bowie down after one of the victim's friends stabbed Bowie and chased and held him down until he was arrested.

Bowie was treated for a minor laceration to his back.

Police say the victim and Bowie do not know each other.

He's been charged with first degree rape and kidnapping, among other charges.
