For years, the SNAP benefits were given out on the first of the month. But in recent months, the state rolled out a staggered payment plan.
Starting October 1st, payments will be issued on four designated days, between the first and the ninth of the month.
The state says 60-percent of clients should expect a delay in benefits during the transition period.
Social service offices say they've prepared their clients for months for the changes. They say all issuance delays should end this month.
