FREDERICK, MD- Middle school students learned two lessons Monday: how to bake bread and share it with others.

Students from St. John Regional Catholic School received baking lessons from King Arthur Flour.

The students had to bake one bread product for themselves and a second one for either the Rescue Mission in Frederick or the Frederick County Food Bank.

"It feels really good for your hands to just touch it," St. John's student Lexi Stewart said.  "It's fun to just make it, and you can give it out as a gift and everything."

"I think it's really important to donate our food to people who don't have homes, food or shelter," Student William Gouker said.  "We get to provide warmth and good food for them."
