Winchester Couple Dead After Tractor Trailer Collision

FREDERICK COUNTY, VA - A Winchester couple is dead after a terrible accident in Frederick County.
Police say it happened on Martinsburg Pike around 2:30 this afternoon.
The driver of the car, Alan Hummel, tried turning onto the road and ended up driving into oncoming traffic. That's when a tractor trailer collided with his vehicle.
Police say Hummel died at the scene. His passenger and wife, Cheryl Willingham, was taken to Winchester Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
