The defense emphasized that Snyder's testimony against Tyler Shane Munson isn't going to be reliable because of how distraught he was when he was questioned the night of the incident.
The prosecution started by playing the 911 tape for the jury.
They then called a neighbor to the stand, Jason Overholser, who found Snyder after the attack.
The neighbor said Snyder's head was bleeding so much he couldn't even see his face, he also remembers seeing one of his ears hanging off his head.
Although Snyder was not in the court room Tuesday, his family was there. They became emotional hearing the 911 call.
Medical officials say Snyder still suffers from brain bleeds as a result of the attack.
Family members say Snyder moved to Virginia after the attack. Some neighbors also moved away, they say they fear for the safety of their family.
The other man charged with the attack, Evan Rusell Shirley, is currently serving 16 years in prison and will take the stand against Munson.
Snyder is also expected to take the stand against Munson on Wednesday.
