BIG POOL, MD- It all happened in broad daylight on a weekday in a rural area along Big Pool Road and police still don't have anyone in custody.

The victim told police a man burglarized her home near the intersection of Big Pool Road and Mccoys Ferry Road around 10:30am and then raped her.

Neighbors say it's a scary thought that someone would do such a thing in the middle of the day and although the homes aren't close to one another, they say, they'll try to keep an eye on each other.

State police  have ruled out a few people and are currently following up with other individuals.

The victim says the man was white had dirty blonde hair, was about 5"10 and had a medium build.
He was also wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dirty blue jeans.

Police say they've been working on the case diligently following up on all leads they're getting.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Maryland State Police.
