MARTINSBURG, WV-One man has died in a house fire late Thursday night in Berkeley County.

Officials say the fire broke out just before midnight Thursday in the 300-block of Oak Street in Martinsburg.  The fire started in the first floor of the home and then spread to the second. it took firefighters about 15 minutes to put it out.  Police say the man suffered severe burns and at this time can not be identified.  No one else was injured in the blaze.  Neighbors in the area say they are stunned by the news.

"I came down here first thing, just to make sure all my neighbors knew and be aware of what was going on.  Once we heard the gun shots we went back to our houses, until we did not hear the shots going off," says Ronald Armolt, who witnessed the fire.

His body has been sent to the medical examiner's office for an autopsy.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Really? So any referrence to gunshots is only made by a quote from a neighbor? And who's body was sent to the medical examiner's office? The neighbor who witnessed the fire? Thats the way it actually reads. Please people, take an English course. My eight year old could have made this article more understandable.
