Fairplay Volunteer Fire Company 12 was suspended by County Commissioners because of problems with response times.
Thirteen people have been appointed to the Task Force. They'll provide recommendations with hopes the station will be reinstated.
The fourth meeting focused on Fairplay's operations and response numbers. Neighboring fire companies, like Sharpsburg and Hagerstown, also shared how their stations operate.
The Assistant Chief of Sharpsburg Fire Company James Morgan says, "Other companies are here to support the community in getting a fire company established back in the Fairplay community that also incorporates an emergency services response at some level."
Fairplay Fire Company has been suspended for a month. County Commissioners will decide in the coming months whether or not the station will resume operations.
The next Task Force Meeting will take place 7 p.m. Monday, September 10 at Rockland Woods Elementary School.
