BRAGGIN' RIGHTS: John W. Norman

Retired Sergeant First Class John W. Norman was awarded the Purple Heart to recognize his bravery during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was wounded when an explosive hit his convoy in 2004.

Norman first began serving in the Army more than 20 years ago, but after September 11th, he volunteered to go back on active duty and was deployed several times.
