Carmen Chau joined the WHAG team in July 2012 as a news reporter. Carmen was born and raised in East Hartford, Connecticut. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communication from Eastern Connecticut State University and a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Quinnipiac University where she was also heavily involved with Q30 News as a reporter.

Carmen got her start in journalism as an anchor and reporter for the campus news station, News 22. She interned at WFSB-TV and was a freelance reporter for Patch.com where she provided news for the town of Manchester. Carmen is also a member of RTDNA where she travels nationwide to report for the annual Excellence in Journalism conference.

Carmen loves practicing yoga and when she's not a reporter for WHAG, she likes to spend time with friends and family back home.
