Heller was an Emergency Services Coordinator for Washington County. She died days after being struck by a teenager down on the Eastern Shore. Police think the boy fell asleep behind the wheel.
Her family says she needed blood, but there wasn't enough.
Currently, the Red Cross says there's a shortage of blood supply all around the country. The next blood drive is taking place at Hagerstown Community College Tuesday, also where Heller's memorial service will be held.
All donors will receive a coupon for a free half gallon of ice cream.
