Places to Cool Off Open in Frederick County, Md.

FREDERICK COUNTY, MD - The Frederick County Department of Aging wants to make sure all seniors have a place to cool off.
Senior centers in Frederick, Brunswick, Urbana and Emmitsburg will be open in the morning and afternoon. Seniors can sit in the air conditioning, in front of fans and drink water. They can also take part in activities like quilting and tai chi.
The department encourages people to check on their older family members and neighbors with the scorching temperatures.
"In the morning when you get up, it's pretty warm, so cool it off, and come in here while it's being cooled," says Emilie Angelety.
