Congratulations to this month's Hagerstown Ford, WHAG's Student Athletes of the Month.

Our female student athlete is Bria Welker, who just completed her junior year at Frankfurt High School.  While Welker tore it up on the track, winning four state titles this season, she says she still has her priorities in order.

"Academics are very important to me. I want to get into a prestigious college, academically and athletically," said Welker.

Welker, who also competes in soccer and basketball, earned a 4.23 GPA, and participates in multiple extracurricular activities. She says it's all about time management.

"Right after track, I go home and do my homework, but before track, I have all my extracurricular activities. Being organized and using your time wisely is always important."
