Samantha Schauel - Walkersville High School

Our female student athlete of the month is Walkersville basketball star Samantha Schauel. The 6’4” senior forward led her team this season to the Maryland 2A State Semifinals. Samantha averaged a double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 points. Off the court, Samantha is class president and holds a 4.5 G.P.A. Samantha is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Honorable Mention National Merit Scholar.
Samantha has earned a Division I Scholarship to play basketball at Monmouth University. Congratulations, Samantha, on a job well done, and best of luck in the future from NBC25.
