Sex Offenders Will Now Face Stricter Laws

Before this new policy, they were allowed to complete the registration by mail. If registrants dont meet the deadline by February 2007, they will be arrested, charged, and may face up to three years in prison. At the same time, all child sexual offenders must now register in person every six months while sexually violent predators must report every 90 days.
