Congratulations to the NBC25 Student Athletes of the Month.  Our female Student Athlete of the Month is Alison Harrell, a senior at North Hagerstown High School.  Alison is a four year cross country runner and two-time MVAL champion for the Hubs.  She also placed first in this year's All-County race and is part of the All-Washington County cross country team.

“It's kind of hard to balance athletics and everything, but sports is kind of like my de-stressor so it sort of helps me plan out everything that I need to do."

Off the field, Alison is a two year member of the National Honor Society and recognized as a Maryland Distinguished Scholar.  She has a 4.33 GPA and participates in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Calculus Club. She plans to go into pre-med in college and is considering Messiah, Grove City and Towson,

"My team, we just try to push each other and we wouldn't be nearly as successful in this sport if it wasn't for them."
