"Fear Factor" Takes on Local Contestants

This season "Fear Factor" launched a home invasion series. Families like the Scholtz from Bunker Hill, West Virginia, sent in tapes about why they wanted host Joe Rogan to come to their home.
The Scholtz were told to be at home when a producer came by to interview them but what they didnt know was that Rogan and a team of cameramen and stunt coordinators were close behind.
"Theres not words to explain," said Pam Scholtz from Bunker Hill, West Virginia.
"Im ready lets do it," said a family member.
The stunt is to drink a cocktail of stink beetles blended with sour milk.
The prize included a possible stomach ache with a $5,000 remedy.
The Sholtz had one minute to drink five shots. For each shot down, they got a key.
Two of the keys opened treasure chests and inside each was a Capital One credit card worth $2500.
Their drink was no smoothie.
"It was very mushy. It just didnt go down real easy," said Robbie Sholtz, a "Fear Factor" contestant.
Thankfully, the Fear Factor vomit bucket was not needed.
"Would you do it again?" asked a reporter. "Yep! Weve got Robbie," said Scholtz.
Theyve also got a memory that hopefully lasts longer than the taste.
The Scholtzs were planning on using their $5,000 winnings to take a vacation but had to wait several months to get their money.

Baltimore Judge Rules Early Voting Unconstitutional,1155596303,1155596303,NBC25 NEWS- There could be another snag preventing Maryland voters from casting their ballots early in the September primary and November election.,"A Baltimore judge has ruled early voting is unconstitutional, saying that state law only allows one day of voting.
The judge also ruled voters cant cast ballots outside their precincts; another measure that would have been allowed under new voting laws approved by the General Assembly.
The state plans to appeal the decision to the Maryland Court of Appeals by the end of this month.
