HAGERSTOWN

By: Import User
Updated: February 6, 2007
Deputies with the Berkeley County Sheriffs Office said a call came in just after 4 p.m. The man on the phone said there was a bomb inside depots in Martinsburg and Carlisle. Several agencies responded including sheriff offices from Loudon County and Frederick County, Virginia as well as the alcohol, tobacco, and Fire Arms Task Force. More than a mile of Tabler Station Road was blocked for four hours Sunday evening. All of the Schneider buildings, trucks, and trailers were searched by bomb dogs, but no explosive devices were found. No suspect has been arrested in the case, but investigators were able to trace the threat back to man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which happens to be the Schneider Trucking Company Headquarters. The F.B.I. in Wisconsin is now looking into the matter.
