Man Holds Two People at Gunpoint in Separate Early Morning Robbery Attempts

Police said around 3:30 a.m. the gunman first tried to rob and carjack a paper delivery woman on Hillcrest Drive.
She fought back and got away. An hour later police said they believe the same suspect robbed a taxi cab driver two blocks away.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 20s with a thin build. He was wearing dark baggy pants with a long sleeve shirt, and a baseball cap.
Frederick Police said they dont advise fighting back
"Our goal as police is concern. We dont want anyone hurt over anything and we want to be able to determine who is responsible for committing the crime through an investigative process," said Lt. Thomas Chase with the Frederick Police Dept.
