Canoe Capsizes in Antietam Creek

Washington County Fire and Emergency responders were on the scene for almost three hours. Although the three canoeists were brought to safety, it took responders one hour to save the fourth victim; a dog named princess.
Officials said the three plus the dog were very lucky.
"This creek can be dangerous at any point. However, after 10 inches of rain, over the last week, it would definitely be not advised to be in the water. People should stay on dry ground," said John Latimer, Washington County Fire Emergency Services.
Officials are deciding whether or not to press charges against the three canoeists for taking a risk that could have ended in tragedy.
