It was all smiles for Governor Ehrlich as he rallied on fellow Republican candidates who are running for office and representing Frederick County.
"Theyre very strong popular incumbents, but they get it; the case work. They understand the direction where they want to take the state as you see this in the voting patterns in the county. So, theyre just fine Representatives," said Robert Ehrlich, Marylands Governor.
The signs, posters, and stickers were all on display kicking off the western Maryland Republican Rally.
"We are here to get people excited, get posters up, and bumper stickers out; get people focused that we have a big election coming up," said Delegate Richard Weldon of District 3B.
The election is on the minds of many local dignitaries looking to win another term. "I hope we pick up seats in Frederick County. I hope we keep the good Senators and Delegates in Frederick County," said Delegate Patrick Hogan of District 3A.
The day wasnt just for the grown ups. Many kids were also there to get a lesson on politics 101. The deadline to file an application for a political office in Maryland is July 3rd. The Primary Election will be held on September 12th.
